However, most manufacturers are leaning more towards making their appliances comply with the Energy Star specifications due to the fact that they help save the environment. There are ever increasing concerns for the environment and more and more ways are coming about to protect it. Energy Star appliances have become much more affordable since they were first introduced. It is becoming easier for everyday people to be able to afford these appliances and to start saving money on their home energy bills. The government has also started a program where there are tax rebates available for purchases of energy saving products and improvements.
